The sacred mountain for several religions in the Far East is Mount Kailas. In ancient religions a Mountain was considered to be the axis mundi - the axis or centre of the world or universe. Here its peak shines like a beacon light, like a lighthouse, radiating its guiding light out into the world. Mountains can symbolise those periods when we are lifted up into the realm of spirit - high above the cares and worries of this earthly existence. Mountains can also signify those beings that permanently reside high up above the cares of the physical world - the Mahatamas or great souls or spiritual Masters. The White Light at the peak of Kailas demonstrating for us their countenance - their auras filled with spiritual light - that can serve as a signpost for our higher potential in our future along the path. There is no sinner who cannot become a saint and no saint who hasn't previously been a sinner.
