MOUNTAIN BELL

MUSIC

Exclusively exists to release the music of Frank Perry. The higher purposes of the label are contained within the symbolism of its Logo.

The first basic interpretation comes from the shape produced by the letter M and that of the three small circles. These small circles represent bells, which symbolically create a Triangle Aspiring upwards, whilst the first level of the M represents Mountains (two), which together form a downward pointing triangle symbolic of the Descending Trinity. These two combine to form the Six-pointed Star symbolic of attaining the Christ consciousness. This also links to the Atma Vidya where we have 6 equal sized circles around one circle with a final central circle comprising 7 circles. There are, therefore, seven M’s. Firstly, the M of Mountain (s); secondly, the M of Music; third, the M of Monad – the One from which we all derive – the Bindu and para vac in ‘Nada Brahma’ (the Yoga of Sound); fourthly, the M of Maitreya Buddha (the coming Buddha); fifth, the M of Mahatmas (of these 7 Rays); the sixth M indicates Mahatma Morya (Dhyani Chohan of the First Ray); and the seventh final M being the first letter of the name by which I’m known to the brotherhood. The angular shape of the M provides a ‘wave-like’ form, representative of sound waves, and of energy going both Up and Down – Female and Male respectively (or personality triad and individuality triad respectively). In ancient symbolism, curved or Rounded (Bell) forms symbolise the Feminine, whilst hard and Angular (M) forms represent the Masculine. Therefore, the symbol combines these two together as in Tantric Union with the highest circle being contained within the V shape of the M – symbolically the roles can also be seen here in reversed form (symbolising the interdependence of the One and the Two) as this represents the fertilised ovum resting within the womb.

The reason to focus upon the Mahatma Morya is twofold; one being the link with Agni Yoga – the Yoga of Fire, and secondly, the link with Professor Nicholas Roerich who created a similar symbol for his ‘Banner of Peace’ and for Pax Cultura, or Peace through Culture, whereby we hope that that which is created by our three bodies (bells) will go forth to create Peace through Beauty. In fact, all of the Roerich’s achieved this aim within their individual lives. His wife Helena Roerich through her writing channelled the Agni Yoga teachings, Svetoslav through his art, and George Roerich through his studies of legend and languages and his writings.

There are also three Om’s derived from the Outer Circle and the central letter M. When we look closely at the outer circle we notice that it is made up of three lines, therefore three circles – the space between the first two from the outside is coloured in. This represents both the outer ring of the bell and the outer limits of the form being composed of matter. So, with these three ‘rings’, we have three bells each sounding an Om. We then come to see these three bells as being representative of the three bodies that we each have – physical, emotional, and mental - with each body sounding the Om.

Om is the most sacred Word in the East. Tibet’s great yogi Milarepa is said to have been able to see sound and to hear colour. If we could see the ‘colour’ of this most sacred sound of Om, it would correspond to the Great White Light – the most sacred of all colours. As we knock at the door to the entrance of the Universal Temple of the Brotherhood of Light, each of these three bodies within us resonates to this call to Light and thence to expressing this Divine Light through each of our vehicles – along the Seven Rays derived from these Three Major Rays of Power, Love, and Wisdom.

The colour Violet is used to show the link with the Seventh Ray of Ritual and Ceremonial Magic, which is now the dominant Ray. The seventh Ray is also known as the Ray of synthesis. The Great White Brotherhood is also an expression of this Seventh ray energy. Frank’s guides are members of this brotherhood as is The White Eagle Lodge where Frank serves. One of White Eagle's words to describe this Seventh Ray of higher psychic development is BEAUTY.

The M in the symbol also represents two individuals (mountains) relating, or joined together, and so the Two being united within the One. In other words, Two is just another way of experiencing One. It is also intended to represent that which lives between two people. Ultimately, this fiery force, which unites people together, is the Christ Impulse otherwise known as Divine Love, or as the force of Magnetic Attraction. In ancient symbolism the number One represented the Sun, whilst the number Two was linked to the Moon. The duality of the Moon (Matter - Feminine) comes forth from out of the Primordial One of the Sun (Masculine). This is also represented in Pythagorean musical symbolism by the Fundamental of the Monochord being the Primordial Tone (Father) or the Light of the One Central Sun whilst the next overtone is that of the Octave derived from dividing the string in Two and known to the Pythagoreans as the Mother. Interestingly, these two are called by one name inasmuch as if the Parent Tone (Father) is a B, then the octave is also a B – therefore, we call both of these by the same name - a ‘B’. However, they sound very different because one is vibrating twice as fast as the other. In this symbolism the lowest Tone is that of the Father – the One, whilst successive Tones become ever higher and closer together representative of the move from the Primordial One into Manifestation in Matter (Mater, Mother).
