The mountain Nanda Devi ,or great mother, inspired this painting of the Mother Lodge as it transports us into the spiritual peace of the Trans-Himalayan occult brotherhood of the White Lodge during a spiritual service of communion. Mountains are symbolic of those moments of peak experience where we are raised up above the involvement with material things into communion with those exalted beings who inhabit the higher realms. Mountains can also be seen to represent those 'peaks' of the human race - the great spiritual Masters, or elder brothers.
