The Masculine and Feminine Signs of the Zodiac are represented as turning Outwards or Inwards from the Circle / Cycle of the Zodiac. Around the Outside are depictions of the instruments to be used for each section. Originally developed as an Audio-Visual programme alongside the paintings of Russian artist Nicholas Roerich (1874 – 1947) the names of the Roerich paintings referred are listed Inside. The beginning starts with Aries shown in the score as Red and outward-directed and following anti-clockwise around the circle with Positive Signs outward-directed and Passive Signs inward-directed. The patterns upon these colours are the glyphs for the astrological Signs. I have used a holistic model whereby the three primary colours are placed upon the first Triangle of Fire Signs (Aries #1 - Leo #5 - Sagittarius #9) so that the astrological Signs follow a path of evolutionary development through the colours of the rainbow rather than seeing them as 12 separate Signs each with their own separate characteristics - which is more akin to 12 boxes. For this reason the music flows through 12 phases - rather like a river passing through 12 countries on its way to the sea.
