What has survived in the East as the teaching of the Law of Karma presupposes the interrelated Law of Reincarnation. Our karma comes from the past - not only the past of this current lifetime, but also the left over or unfinished business of previous incarnations. Sometimes it is helpful to understand where this all comes from making it easier for us to learn the lesson associated with the karma and thereby freeing us from these past limitations. In this sense it can be a healing experience. Therefore we call it Karmic Healing.
This is a form of 'far memory' - that is to say a means of facilitating a client into remembering their own past lives in contradistinction to my astrological work where I look into their significant past lives.
This is essentially a form of self hypnosis and therefore the client is in full control at all times and can stop whenever they wish to. My role is to ask certain questions designed to reinforce the past life visited and to sustain the 'story' in order to ascertain its significance to the current lifetime. The main part of the preparation consists in completing several mental exercises found to be most conducive in preparing the individual for entering into this higher dimension of themselves. However, not everybody is able to respond using their visual imagination and there exists an alternative method for such cases.
Certain of my Tibetan singing bowls can accompany this process depending upon the client's ability to enter into the appropriate altered state of consciousness. for instance, one such bowl (Hovering Eagle Bowl) greatly helps in entering into 'out-of-the-body' experiences. This is most useful when a client is too attached to their earthly personality/clothing or is otherwise unable to disengage. I have another rare and ancient Tibetan singing bowl (Blue Sunset Bowl) which facilitates past life memories and this is sometimes used, and an ancient heart chakra bowl is often used to assist in linking with the 'Higher Self.'
The experience is so vivid and clear that it lasts our lifetime whereas a dream can be forgotten in a very short time. However, the sessions are taped for future reference for small details or to enable the client to once again connect up with the energies of the lifetime experienced.
